The film, which was originally set to hit theatres in April this year, has been rescheduled to May 15, 2026.

While sharing the video, the actor wrote, "And that's a wrap on #BhoothBangla! My seventh madcap adventure with the ever-inventive Priyan sir, my second outing with the unstoppable Ekta, and my first but hopefully not the last, magical journey with the ever-surprising Wamiqa. Grateful for the madness, the magic, and the memories."

Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, Asrani, and Wamiqa Gabbi. As per the press note by the makers, the film has been shot in Rajasthan, Jaipur, and Hyderabad.

Typical Bollywood. Shoot wraps in May 2023, release in May 2026. Three years of post-production? What are they doing, building an actual haunted bungalow? The hype might die down by then.

Excited for the Priyadarshan-Akshay combo! Their old comedies like Hera Pheri and Bhagam Bhag are classics. Hope this brings back that kind of laughter. The delay is a bummer, but good things take time.

Living in Mumbai, the buzz for this is real. The title is fun. Hope the horror-comedy mix works. Indian audiences love a good bhoot story with laughs. Fingers crossed!

Respectfully, this constant date-shifting hurts the industry. It messes with theatre schedules and audience planning. The makers should be more decisive after announcing a date. Just my two paise.

Wamiqa Gabbi is a fantastic choice! Loved her in Jubilee. Interesting to see her with this veteran cast. The wait is long, but the team looks solid. Jaipur and Rajasthan backdrop will be beautiful.
