Fish Bhajji Recipe


• 4 Herring Fish

• 4 Potatoes

• 2 Onions

• 1 Tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste

• 6 Green Chillies

• 1 Tbsp Soft Fresh Bead Crumbs

• ¾ Cup Gram Flour

• 1 Tsp Vinegar

• 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

• 1 Tbsp Chopped Coriander

• 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds

• 2 Tsp Red Chili Powder

• ¼ Cup Butter

• Oil to Fry

• Salt to Taste


• Chop onion into slices.

• Boil, peel and mash potatoes.

• Wash and clean fishes.

• Sauté onion in heated butter till it becomes pinkish brown.

• Add ginger, garlic, green chillies, cumin seeds, salt and coriander.

• Remove from fire and add mashed potatoes, lemon juice and vinegar.

• Mix well and stuff the fish with the potato mixture.

• In a separate bowl, mix gram flour, bread crumbs, salt, and red chili powder.

• Add water just enough to make a batter.

• Take the stuffed fish and dip it in the batter and then deep fry in heated oil.

• Garnish with lettuce leaves, lemon wedges and chopped coriander leaves.
