Four passengers of BMW burn to death

Ahmedabad, Aug 1 : Four people were burnt to death Saturday here, after the BMW car they were travelling in, caught fire after ramming into a trailer, the police said.

As per media reports, all of the deceased, were mechanics of BMW and had taken the new vehicle for a test drive.

'It seems the car's central locking system failed after ramming into the trailer. As a result, when the BMW caught fire, the people couldn't come out,' the police said here.

Three hours of operation by a large team of fire officials finally managed to take out the charred remains of the four people.

BMW officials say that they have never heard of any BMW go up in flames like this.
