India won't rest till 26/11 attackers punished: PM
Washington, Nov 25 : India will not rest till the perpetrators of the Mumbai massacre were punished, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said here on Wednesday on the eve of the first anniversary of 26/11.
"We expect the masterminds of the attack and their supporters to be tried and punished,” Singh told a press conference here.
"The Government will not rest till we have brought the perpetrators of this crime to justice. This is our solemn duty," Singh said.
He said the infrastructure of terrorism and all safe havens have to be dismantled.
Though he welcomed the development in Pakistan on Wednesday where a special court has issued chargesheets against all the seven persons accused in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008, Singh more needs to be done.
Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhwi has been charged for being the mastermind behind the attack
Singh said USA has assured to use its influence on Pakistan to bring the culprits to book.
Singh also allayed fears of a war with Pakistan saying "I have stated categorically that Pakistan has nothing to fear from India."
