RJD to launch state-wide agitation against price rise: Lalu
Munger, Nov 7 : RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today said his party would launch a state-wide agitation to protest the 'failure of Nitish Kumar government in taking stringent action against the hoarders', leading to escalation of prices of essential commodities.
Addressing a meeting of the party workers here, Mr Prasad alleged that the insensitivity of the government could be gauged from the fact that it had not taken any action against the hoarders responsible for the escalation of prices of essential commodities in the state.
''The people of Bihar are restless due to sky-rocketting prices of the essentials, but the NDA government was in deep slumber, leaving the masses at the mercy of God,'' Mr Prasad charged.
He alleged that there was rampant corruption in state administration under the present ragime, but Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was deliberately turning blind eye to the menace, causing great harrasment to the people.
Mr Prasad also criticised the government for its ''indifferent attitude'' to the problems faced by the teachers in the state.
