Washington, Nov 7 : US Ambassador Tim Roemer has briefed the Indian Government on the arrest by the Federal Bureau of nvestigation (FBI) in Chicago last month of two persons who were believed to be part of a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) plan of a terror attack on the National Defence College in Delhi.
The arrested persons are: David Coleman Headley and Tahawwur Hussain Rana.
"We continue to follow the case. I’m not at liberty to divulge the details of the interrogation," State Department Spokesman Ian Kelly gave this information in reply to a question yesterday.
He said, "It’s an ongoing legal case, and it really is up to the Department of Justice to - I mean, that’s really in their purview.
But I do know that we have briefed the Government of India on the broad parameters of the case." In a reply to another question, Kelly denied that India’s National Security Advisor MK Narayanan was on a secret mission to the US in connection with the case. He met almost everybody, high-level officials, including national security advisor. He also met some State Department officials.
