Bambino targets to double turnover to Rs 500 cr by 2014
New Delhi, Nov 4 : Bambino Group's Bambino Agro Industries, the country's leading vermicelli producer, today said it targets to double its turnover to Rs 500 crore by 2014.
The company, which supplies vermicelli worth Rs four crore annually to military CSD canteens and defence supplies, registered a turnover of Rs 220 crore last year and it expects it to touch Rs 270 crore mark this year.
Talking to reporters about the company's future plans, Executive Director P Easwara Das said the company is looking at diversification by keeping its core competency into functional foods and also plans to tie-up with reputed universities and educational institutes in North for the future growth.
The Hyderabad-based firm has completed 25 years of manufacturing and marketing vermicelli, pasta and instant foods, both nationally and internationally.
It exports to countries like the US, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Europe and parts of the UAE, and has state of the art manufacturing facilities at Gurgaon near Delhi, Bhandara near Nagpur and Bibinagar near Hyderabad.
