Gamang directed to vacate CM official bungalow within month

New Delhi, Nov 4 : The Delhi High Court has directed former Orissa Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang to vacate the official bungalow here within one month as the Minister was no more in power now.

Justice Gita Mittal yesterday dismissed his petition as Mr Gamang was seeking more time to vacate the 12 Teen Murti Lane Marg bungalow on health grounds.

The High Court directed the former Congress MP to vacate the bungalow before December 3.

The 66-year-old leader, who was an MP from Koraput for nine consecutive terms, challenged a trial court's order and sought direction to the Directorate of Estate under the Urban Development Ministry to grant him more time to vacate the premises as the former MP was advised by doctors for complete bed rest.

On June 18, the Directorate of Estate cancelled the allotment of his official house as he was no more an MP now.

Mr Gamang challenging the eviction order passed by the trial court, sought more time from the High Court to stay there as he was not keeping well.
