Konkani film to open Indian Panorama

New Delhi, Nov 3 : Konkani film 'Paltadacho Munis' by Laxmikant Shetgaonkar will open the feature films section of Indian Panorama of the 40th International Film Festival of India,(IFFI-2009) be held in Goa later this month.

The Indian Panorama will have 26 feature films, six of which are Bengali, and 18 non-feature films.

The non-feature film section will open with 'In For Motion' (English) directed by Anirban Datta.

The films were selected by two juries. The jury for the feature films was headed by renowned director Muzafar Ali. Its other members were Bobby Bedi, Joseph Pulinthanath, J Mahendran, Gautaman Bhaskaran, Leslie Carvalho and Raja Mitra.

The members of the Jury for Non-Feature Films, headed by Aribam Syam Sharma, were Paromita Vohra, Dr Pushpesh Pant, Sameer Hanchate and Kapilas Bhuyan.
