BJP crisis in Karnataka enters 2nd week; no solution in sight
Bangalore, Nov 3 : The political crisis that shook the BJP Government in Karnataka entered the second week, but no solution was in sight, as rebels led by the 'Reddy brothers' from Bellary insisting on the removal of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.
The Chief Minister, however, said the central leadership was working out to find a ''new formula'' and the crisis would be over in a few days.
While rebel leader and Tourism Minister Janardhana Reddy is camping in New Delhi, lobbying hard with the central leadership to replace Mr Yeddyurappa, his brother and Revenue Minister Karunakara Reddy denied that the Central leaders had ruled out the change in leadership.
Speaking to newspersons here, the Tourism Minister said there was no change in his group's stand about installing a new Chief Minister. However, he declined to name an alternate candidate and said the Assembly members would elect their next leader.
