Mobelle Technology mobile handset products to be available in India
Kolkata, Nov 3: Singapore-based Mobelle Technology is set to make available a wide range of its mobile hand set products in India in the next six to nine months through a marketing tie-up with Salora International.
Launching the first seven models in West Bengal market, Salora Managing Director Gopal Jiwarajka said steps were being made to strengthen the distribution and service network across the country.
'' Affordability and value for money are our propositions and it is our aim to place Mobelle among the top ten brands,'' Mr Jiwarajka said.
'' Right now we are concentrating on ensuring basic fundamentals like distribution and service to bring in all Mobelle models in the next six to nine months,'' he said.
At present, Salora has 18 service centres and 152 franchisees.
The numbers would be raised soon, he added.
Available under two categories--simple and classic--the Mobelle handset models are priced between Rs 2,000 and 7,000.
A subsidiary of Longcheer Holdings, one of the biggest mobile phone design houses, Mobelle has brand awareness and image in south and east Asia and has climbed to number three position in Vietnam after Nokia and Samsung.
The Delhi-based Salora International has both manufacturing and distribution divisions.
Apart from Mobelle, Salora also markets Sony Ericsson mobile handsets in India.
