Coupling of Kerala Express found broken; accident averted
Mathura, Oct 25 : A major train accident was averted by attentive railway pesonnel when they noticed broken coupling and buffer of New Delhi-bound Kerala Express at the Mathura junction.
Divisional Manager Central Railway K G Goswami said when the Kerala Express was leaving from Mathura junction, its coupling and buffer were found broken.
Later, the train left for Delhi after the coupling was repaired here, he said, adding no one was injured in the incident.
Earlier in a major train accident, Goa Sampark Kranti and Mewar Express had collided on Wednesday when both the trains came on the same track near Mathura railway station, killing 22 people.
