Two patients confirm swine flu out of eleven suspected
Rajkot, Oct 22 : A 32-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man tested positive for the H1N1 virus in Rajkot civil hospital, official sources said.
The reports of two of the patients came yesterday evening, the sources said.
The woman Linaben Arunbhai, resident of Shapar-Veraval, was admitted to civil hospital here on October 18 with complaints of cough, cold and fever along with ten other patients. Her blood test confirmed that she carried the virus.
Mahesh Vrajlal Desai (37), who was tested positive, is undergoing treatment at the civil hospital here since October 19, the sources said.
The nine other patients who have been admitted with symptoms of suspected swine flu tested negative.
However, one more patient --the Registrar of the Saurashtra University Gajendra Jani was also admitted to civil hospital with symptoms of suspected swine flue two days ago. His blood sample has been sent to Ahmedabad for tests and the report is awaited, the sources said.
