AirAsia to commence flights to Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram in November
Kochi, Oct 15: AirAsia would commence its daily flights to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram from Kuala Lumpur in November this year, following a successful launch from Tiruchirapalli on December one, last year.
AirAsia would offer, the people of Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, an all-inclusive fare of Rs 1,499 from November 12 to July 31, next year for Kochi passengers and from November 16, 2009 to July 31, 2010 for passengers from Thiruvananthapuram.
AirAsia is the first airline in South East Asia to fly direct to the city.
The airline's Regional Commercial Head, Kathleen Tan was reiterating the airline's commitment to sustain the passengers demand for low-fare, though many airlines were finding it difficult to accede to their demand due to the economic recession.
Mr Tan said the airline would open up new markets and diversify its routes. The airline would initiate measures to promote tourism for the growth economies in both the countries.
