Making comedy film is not easy: Priyadarshan

New Delhi, Oct 8 : Making a comedy film is one of the most difficult things to do, says National Award winning director Priyadarshan who has established a niche for himself as maker of comedy films like 'Hera Pheri', 'Malamaal Weekly' and 'Bhool Bhulaiya'.

''Making a comedy film is one of the difficult things and I do a big social service by making people laugh,'' Priyadarshan, whose film 'Kanchivaram' won the award for Best Feature Film at the National Awards for 2007, told UNI here.

The South Indian filmmaker, however, refused to take the sole credit for the National Award.

''Making of a film is a combined effort of all those people who are associated with it,'' the filmmaker said.

Speaking about his forthcoming movie 'De Dana Dan', Priyadarshan said, ''It is a comedy film and I would like to say that if anyone misses even a single shot or scene of the flick, they would loose the link of the movie.'' ''The team of 'Hera Pheri', which had Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suneil Shetty will be seen together again in 'De Dana Dan', which is releasing on November 27,'' he added.

Last week he inaugurated the Akira Kurosawa Film Festival at the Delhi International Arts Festival here.
