Ross Taylor's century lifts Kiwis on Day 1 of Windies Test

Melbourne, Dec. 11 : New Zealand cricketer Ross Taylor has scored his 10th Test century and surpassed 4,000 career runs to anchor New Zealand's 307 for 6 at the close of play on the first day of the second Test against the West Indies at the Basin Reserve.

Taylor dominated with 129, but departed two overs before stumps, Stuff.co.nz reports.

According to the report, Taylor was dropped on nought, a slip catch that should have been taken by Kirk Edwards off Tino Best, then received more lives on 122 and 125 as the wheels fell off for the tourists.
