Voters need to be mature: Arun Jaitley

New Delhi, Dec 7 : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley on Saturday said voters need to be mature enough to elect the right people to power.

"Why do you elect people with shady and dubious background? The voters need to mature and stop electing such people," Jaitley said at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in New Delhi.

He also rejected allegations that the opposition keeps stalling the proceedings of the Parliament during every session.

"It is a myth that Opposition stalls Parliament. You cannot blame economic slowdown on lack of consensus in Parliament," he said.
