Minister's son arrested for attacking toll plaza

Panaji, Dec 3 : Maharashtra Industries Minister and Congress leader Narayan Rane's son Nitesh Rane was detained on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting toll booth staff at a toll plaza in Goa, reports said.

According to reports, Rane and his supporters allegedly attacked the staff and vandalised the booth after his car was stopped at a toll plaza and was asked to pay the tax.

A complaint was lodged at the Pernem police station following which the police tracked Nitesh Rane and his aide in order to detain them.

At present they are kept in Pernem police station, reports said.
