7 cops killed in Bihar Maoist attack

Aurangabad, Dec 3 : At least seven policemen were killed in a land mine blast triggered allegedly by Maoists at Tandwa in Aurangabad district of Bihar on Tuesday, reports said.

The blast occurred when a police patrol jeep, on its way from Nabinagar to Tandwa, carrying cops were passing through the area.

More details are awaited.

The incident comes after three Government Railway Police jawans were killed on Saturday after Maoists attacked a passenger train in Bihar's Munger district.

Two jawans were also injured in the attack.

The incident occurred when the train was passing through a tunnel.

The rebels escaped from the spot after looting five rifles from the jawans.
