Three killed in gas cylinder blast in Tamil Nadu

Chennai, Nov.20 : At least three persons were killed in a gas cylinder blast at a house in Paparapatty in Tamil Nadu's Salem District on Wednesday.

Two persons, including a mother and child, died on the spot, while a third person died when the neighbouring house collapsed.

Eight persons have been admitted to Salem Government Hospital with severe burn injuries.

In all, four houses were completely destroyed by the blast.

Local police are investigating the reasons for the accident.
