Andhra Pradesh: Bus catches fire, over 20 killed

Hyderabad, Oct 30 : Over 20 people are feared killed as the volvo bus in which they were travelling caught fire at Mahabubnagar district in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, the police said.

The mishap reportedly occurred when the bus driver attempted to overtake a car and hit its fuel tank on a culvert. The tank exploded and the bus caught fire at around 5 am.

Few passengers escaped from the bus by breaking its window before it was fully gutted.

Officials have reached the spot.

The bus was travelling from Bangalore city in Karnataka to Hyderabad city when the mishap occurred.
