Cardboard factory gutted in fire in Delhi, no casualty reported

New Delhi, Oct 20 : A cardboard manufacturing unit in New Delhi's industrial area was gutted in a fire on Sunday.

However, no casualties were reported.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Vipin Kental, said the situation is under control and it was a medium level fire accident.

"At 12.35 a.m., we received the information of fire. The factory is at Okhla Phase II. After reaching here we declared it a medium level fire. There are 25 fire trucks stationed here to take control of the situation. The building was of a cardboard manufacturing service. The fire broke out on the ground floor first and spread to the first and the second floors of the building. The operation will continue for another hour," said Kental.

The cardboard kept inside the building burnt to ashes and nothing could be saved after the fire.

Further information on the destruction and damage of both the goods and the building is still awaited.
