Delhi Police took him away from the AP Bhawan and shifted him by force to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
He was whisked away by the cops in an ambulance even as his supporters tried to prevent his eviction.
Earlier beginning his fast, he had said that "Congress is dividing Andhra Pradesh for political gains."
"It is a kind of match-fixing," Naidu had said.
"I am fasting to protect the interests of the people of Seemandhra," he said.
The Union Cabinet recently approved the creation of a new state of Telangana by bifurcating the existing state of Andhra Pradesh.
The state of Telangana, which is likely to take few months to be formed, is expected to have 10 districts, a population of 35.38 million and an area of 1.14 lakh square km and including Andhra Pradesh capital Hyderabad, which will serve as a common capital for 10 years.
The Congress has 33 MPs from Andhra Pradesh. As many as 19 of them are from the coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions to be included under Telangana state. They are opposed to the division of the state.
