Pak Taiban threatens to kill Musharraf
Islamabad, Mar 23 : The Pakistani Taliban on Saturday warned that former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf will be assassinated when he returns to the country.
The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has threatened to use suicide bombers and snipers to kill Musharraf, media reports said.
TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan told Dawn News: "Suicide bombers are being trained and assigned to assassinate."
"Moreover, Adnan Rasheed, who took part in a previous attempt to assassinate Musharraf, has been given the charge of these suicide squads," the Pak-based newspaper reported.
After nearly four years of self-imposed exile, Musharraf is likely to return to Pakistan on Sunday from Dubai to contest the parliamentary elections in May.
