"I deeply condemn that I was not allowed to visit Muzaffarnagar today. I demand President's Rule in the state," Singh told reporters.
Pertinently, Singh was made to cancel his visit to Muzaffarnagar on Saturday due to security reasons.
BJP MLA Sangeet Som and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Noor Salim Rana was arrested on Saturday for allegedly instigating Muzaffarnagar riots that claimed at least 48 lives recently.
Som, who has been charged for circulating a fake video online that fueled Muzaffarnagar riots, surrended on Saturday after the Uttar Pradesh Police served him an arrest warrant.
BJP MLA Suresh Rana was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police on Friday for inciting the Hindu-Muslim tension in Muzaffarnagar.
Rana is accused of making inflammatory speeches, that allegedly triggered the communal riots in the state.
Rana is the first one to be arrested in the case, after the arrest warrants were issued against 16 political leaders three days ago.
A local court on Saturday sent Rana to a 14-day judicial custody.
