Escalator facility inaugurated at Ernakulam railway station

Kochi, September 10: Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs K V Thomas inaugurated escalator facility at Ernakulam South Railway station on Monday.

It is the first escalator at a railway station in the state, which helps travellers to move with their luggages to another platform without climbing the steps.

Lift facility will be available here at the second platform within a month.

Railway is planning to install three escalators and two lifts at the Ernakulam junction railway station soon.
