Ripper Jayanandan under police custody

Thiruvananthapuram, September 10: Serial killer Jayanandan, popularly known as Ripper Jayanandan, was caught by Kerala police from Puthucad in Thrissur district on Monday.

He escaped from Pujappura central jail on June 10. Jayandan is a serial killer accused of seven murders committed during robberies in Trichur-Ernakulam border areas.

Sijith, a police constable saw the ripper while he was crossing the road at Nellayi in Puthucad area on Monday. With the help of other two policemen he was caught immediately.

Kerala Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan appreciated the dedication of policemen and offered them cash awards and special honour.
