"We supports food security for all. But we are opposed the way the UPA has introduced the Food Bill and also certain contents of the Bill," the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said.
The Rajya Sabha was on Monday adjourned for 15 minutes over diesel and petrol prices, while the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm amid protests against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
As soon as the Upper House met for the day, Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien raised the issue of rising fuel prices and demanded a discussion on it.
Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari said the issue has been listed for Zero Hour.
However, TMC and some Left members continued their uproar leading to adjournment of the house.
State-run oil companies on Saturday said prices of petrol would go up by Rs 2.35 per litre, excluding taxes, from Sunday, as the rupee continued to plummet and international crude prices remained firm.
Prices of diesel meanwhile would be raised by 50 paise per litre once again, in line with the a decision to gradually raise prices every month to cut down on a subsidy burden.
