In Bhopal he told reporters: "Madam [Sonia Gandhi] and his son [Rahul Gandhi] are behind this am told by people. I do not want to oppose any party."
"I said let them do what they want to do. May god bless them," he said, adding that the sexual assault charge is a conspiracy.
Congress hit back calling the accusation unfortunate and demanding apology.
While the godman is in Madhya Pradesh now, a team from the Jodhpur Police on Tuesday served summons to him in the case of sexual assault here.
The team reached Bapu's ashram in Madhya Pradesh's Indore city at around 8 am on Tuesday and served summons at around 2 pm after they were told that the self-styled godman was meditating could not be disturbed, reports said.
Bapu need to appear before the police in Rajasthan on or before Aug 30 to record his statement.
Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has asked the governments of Rajasthan, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh to send reports on the complaints against Bapu.
In an advisory, the Home Ministry has asked the three state governments to send reports about the complaints registered against him.
This comes in as the Janata Dal (United) [JD-U] supremo Sharad Yadav on Monday asked the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government to take action against Bapu.
He also demanded a statement on Bapu from the government.
The Jodhpur Police on Monday reached Asaram's ashram in Ahmedabad and served summons in the case.
A 15-year-old girl, who was staying at Bapu's hostel in Rajasthan's Jodhpur, has filed a First Information Report (FIR) at Kamla market police station in Delhi alleging she was sexually assaulted by the godman.
The case was referred to Jodhpur Police for investigation and relevant action.
