President greets on Parsi New Year

New Delhi, Aug 17 : President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday greeted the Parsi community on the occasion of the Parsi New Year.


"On the auspicious occasion of the Parsi New Year, 'Navroz', I extend my greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens particularly my Parsi brothers and sisters," Mukherjee said in his message.

"Navroz symbolizes new beginnings and is seen as a harbinger of peace and prosperity. The festival reminds us of the rich diversity and inclusiveness of our culture," he said.

"May this festival bring peace and prosperity in the lives of all people and reinforce our commitment to synthesis, harmony and goodwill towards all," said Mukherjee.
