Cabinet takes steps against spread of communicable diseases
Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 21 : The Kerala Cabinet has decided to intensify the activities to prevent the spread of communicable diseases before the onset of monsoon season.
Sanction has been given for appointing 209 doctors, 375 staff nurses, 211 pharmacists, 145 lab technicians, 320 health inspectors' and 397 spray men, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told newspersons after the Cabinet meeting last night.
Staff Pattern of non teaching staffs at three Homoeopathic Medical Colleges has been regularised. As many as 14 non teaching staffs and two other posts namely that of a sweeper and security has been fixed at the three Homoeopathic Medical Colleges. The salary and service condition of the Special Officer of the SC/ST Department managed Palakkad MCH has been fixed, he added.
