Face of Bihar police changed, getting appreciation: Chaudhary
Patna, Mar 21 : The Bihar government today claimed in Assembly that the face of state police had changed for better and it was being appreciated across the country while several states were taking keen interest in learning the modus-operandi to check crimes.
Replying to a debate on budgetary demand of State Home Department in Assembly, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, also in charge of Home Department, said the face of Bihar police had changed for the better during the past seven years and it was being appreciated across the country.
In important seminars and meetings across the country, police officers and officials of Home Department of Bihar were being invited to share their experience and offer suggestions on crime control, Mr Chaudhary said, adding such development was really a matter of pride for people of the state.
The Minister said no communal violence was reported from any part of the state during the past seven years and people were living in Bihar with complete harmony, cutting religious barriers.
''There was no fear-psychosis among any section of the society as was prevalent before our government was voted to power seven years back,'' he added.
