Child dies in attack in Thane

Thane, Mar 21 : The Thane police today arrested a man from Kalyan in this district of Maharashtra on charges of attacking his wife and kids and subsequent death of one of the children.

The Mahatma Phule Police said the arrested person had a petty quarrel with his wife yesterday following which he attacked his family members with sharp-edged weapons.

The family members, including his wife and kids, were badly wounded and in the attack, one of the kids died, police said.

The injured housewife and kids have been admitted to local hospitals, police added.
