Sambaran Banerjee launches cricket website

Kolkata, May 14 : Former cricketers Sambaran Banerjee and Saradindu Mukherjee, along with Bengal cricketer Saurashis Lahiri inaugurated the website '', here on Tuesday. is an initiative, spearheaded by former cricketer and coach Satrajit Lahiri, in association with Women's Head Coach, Rituparna Roy and Administrative Head, Pratima Lahiri.

While Saradindu Mukherjee conveyed his best wishes to Satrajit Lahiri and his team, Sambaran Banerjee said that he hoped that Lahiri's initiative would not falter.

He said, "There is not a dearth of talent in Bengal, but there is the need to support these young talents so that they do not get lost. This is a mission, and we have to continue with it. We cannot and should not disappear."

Indicricket claims to cater to schools, corporate houses, promote women's cricket, as well as conduct workshops for coaching, umpiring and suspect action verification.

The initiative promises involvement of cricketing bigshots like Sambaran Banerjee, Saradindu Mukherjee, Laxmi Ratan Shukla, Ranadeep Bose, Saurashis Lahiri, I.B.Roy, fitness expert, Ranadeep Moitra and sports motivator, Mrinal Chakraborty.

Satrajit Lahiri said that Indicricket has a home ground near Tala area, and he has future plans to find grounds in south Kolkata.

"It was at this ground that we had our inauguration match between orphans and disabled children, today", Lahiri said.
