Center announces Jeevan Raksha Padak for 37 people

New Delhi, Jan.7 : The Central Government has announced Jeevan Raksha Padak for 37 people for their meritorious act in saving human lives.

According to an official release, three persons have been selected for Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak posthumously, six for Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak and 28 for Jeevan Raksha Padak.

The award is presented to the awardees by the state government to which they belong.

The lump sum monetary allowance is one lakh rupees for Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak, Rs.60,000 for Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak and Rs.40,000 for Jeevan Raksha Padak.
