5 Manipur-based militants nabbed in Guwahati

Guwahati, Jan 7 : Five members of a faction of Manipur-based militant outfit Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) were arrested from different locations in Assam's main city Monday, police said.


Senior Superintendent of Police (City) A.P. Tiwary said that initially two cadres of the outfit were arrested from two hotels in Guwahati in the morning. Later, another three cadres were arrested, he said.

"All the five cadres of the outfit have been taking shelter in the city in disguise," he said adding that they have already been handed over to Manipur Police.
