Software to deal with corruption complete: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Jan. 6 : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said a special software has been set up to deal with corruption in Delhi which will be handled by the State Vigilance department and will begin from this week itself.

"We were working on the back-end of the software now it is complete and is expected to begin by Wednesday or Thursday," said Kejriwal.

"It will be handled by the State vigilance department where people can report complaints against corruption taking place in any part of the city. I believe we can attack bribing if we get together," he said.

"We have sanctioned a strength of 30 inspectors, out of which 11 have already started working. The Delhi police commissioner has told me that he will give me seven to eight more inspectors within 2 days," he added.

He further said that he was going to make the dream of 'Swaraj' come true.

"We have come with a dream of Swaraj and I expect that we will be able to draft the law of Swaraj in next ten days. I think at a political level, it is a huge progress, and we have to go to the details," said Kejriwal.

"People should try to accept that our intentions are clean," he added.

Taking his battle against corruption forward, Delhi's seventh Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal had promised immediate punitive action and crackdown against corrupt officers or government department.

He had urged the people of the national capital not to refuse or hesitate to give a bribe to any officer of any department of his government if asked , and after doing so, to contact the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government or leadership on a land line telephone number that he would give them, and he would catch the culprits red-handed.

Addressing the people of Delhi after assuming charge of the chief minister's office at the Ram Lila Ground, Kejriwal had said: "It is not I or the AAP MLAs who have become chief minister and ministers of Delhi, it is you, the people of Delhi who have become chief ministers and ministers. All of you have today taken this oath of office and secrecy. This is the common man's victory, not mine or not mine. We have shown through our performance in the December 4 elections, that we have arrived at a historic moment in the city's history, and in the nation's history. This is a landmark and a great achievement."

Stating that this was only the beginning of a very challenging and arduous journey and campaign for a better nation and a better Delhi, Kejriwal had said: "I alone cannot win this battle against willful waste and corruption. All of us have to be in this together. We do not have the magic wand to solve all the problems of this city, or this nation. The one-and-a-half crore people of Delhi have to join up and help me and my government to overcome these problems of poor governance and corrupt administration."
