AAP discusses Lok Sabha poll strategy

New Delhi, Jan 4 : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)'s National Executive on Saturday met here and discussed the party's strategy for the Lok Sabha elections.

The party said it will announce its first list of candidates within two weeks.

"We will announce our first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections within two weeks," AAP leader Sanjay Singh told reporters after the meeting.

"According to sources, along with Delhi, AAP is looking at the states of Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat to build a strong support system for the national elections, due by May," reported NDTV.

"The party plans to field senior leaders Mayank Gandhi from Maharashtra and Sanjay Singh from Uttar Pradesh, the sources added," said the news channel.

AAP leader Kumar Vishwas will reportedly contest the Lok Sabha elections against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi from Amethi constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
