'Iron Man 3' crowned highest grossing film of 2013

Washington, Dec 30 : 'Iron Man 3' has been named as the highest grossing film of 2013.


The Robert Downey Jr. starring superhero adventure took in a massive total of 1,215,439,994 dollars at the global box office, while runner up 'Despicable Me 2' earned a total of 918,573,535 dollars, Contactmusic reported.

Meanwhile, the sixth instalment of racing franchise 'Fast and Furious', which stars late actor Paul Walker, bagged the third place with 788,679,850 dollars.

3. Fast and Furious 6 - 788,679,850 dollars

4. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - 771,484,011 dollars
