CNG price hike: Kejriwal seeks time

New Delhi, Dec 27 : A day after the CNG price was increased by Rs. 4.50, Delhi Chief Minister designate Arvind Kejriwal on Friday sought two days' time from auto drivers to resolve the issue.

"Why was the CNG price hiked days before the swearing-in ceremony? I have to look at the files to see why was the price increased," said Kejriwal.

"I request my auto driver brothers not to go on a strike and to give me two days' time to look into the issue. If there is no alternative to CNG price hike, then auto fares will also be revised," he said.

Kejriwal will take oath as the Delhi Chief Minister at Ramleela Maidan on Saturday. His Cabinet will also be sworn-in the same day.
