Top LeT militant killed in Jammu-Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Dec 26 : A Lashkar-e-Taiba militant was killed in a fierce encounter with Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces in Budgam district of central Kashmir today.

According to television reports, the overnight cordon-and-search operation at Hushroo in Chadoura area of Budgam concluded at 8.30 a.m. when LeT militant Omer Bilal, was killed in the gunfight.

An AK-47 rifle was among the arms and ammunition recovered from the encounter spot.
