Raintree Hotels to modernise rooms, relaunch restaurants
City-based Ceebros Hotels Pvt. Ltd. has chalked out plans to refurbish the rooms and relaunch four restaurants at its two Raintree brand star hotels here, said senior officials.
The company owns the 105-room Raintree Hotel on St. Mary's Road and the 230-room Raintree Hotel in Anna Salai.
"We will be refurbishing all the rooms at our hotel and the lobby. We also plan to expand and relaunch our all-day restaurant and the rooftop restaurant, 'Above Sea Level'," Rajesh Gopalakrishnan, general manager at the Raintree Hotel, St. Mary's Road, told IANS.
The hotel was opened in 2005. "The work is expected to be over mid 2014, after which the rooms will be much more upscale," he said.
"The restaurant 'Rainbow' will sport a new name. Work is expected to start sometime in April/May 2014," Gopalakrishnan said. Work on the relaunch of the rooftop restaurant "Above Sea Level" will begin in February-March next year.
Two restaurants at the Raintree Hotel, Anna Salai, will be revamping their menu. "We will be launching new menu at our Punjabi restaurant 'Up North' and the all-day dining outlet 'The Kitchen'," Jaideep Prasad, food and beverages manager, told IANS.
