Crackers banned around Gurgaon ammunition depot

Gurgaon, Dec 19 : Authorities Thursday banned the use of crackers within 900 meters of an ammunition depot here in Gurgaon.

District Magistrate Shekhar Vidyarthi prohibited the use of crackers at any party or event -- on parks, roads, lanes and by-lanes in the area.

He said the explosives could endanger the ammunition depot, located close to lawns and gardens where crackers are burst mainly during weddings.
