Mukherjee receives first copy of biography of late V.B. Raju

New Delhi, Dec 19 : A biography titled 'V.B. Raju - A Visionary Leader', was presented to President Pranab Mukherjee at a function at Rashtrapati Bhavan here.

Speaking on the occasion yesterday, Mukherjee described V.B. Raju as a freedom fighter, an able administrator and a champion of the causes of the common man.

He said Raju was a leader who influenced the course of history of the Telugu-speaking people by fighting for freedom during the liberation movement in the erstwhile Nizam's domain.

The President said Raju utilized several important positions that he held in his life time for the welfare of the people. He was a man of true principles and placed his welfare behind those of the people he served.
