Urban development seminar to kick off

West Bengal Ministry of Urban Development and Growth Tuesday announced a three-day exhibition 'Bengal Builds' on challenges of Urban Infrastructure Development.

The exhibition jointly organised by Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA), West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (HIDCO), Asansol Durgapur Development Authority (ADDA), Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority (NDITA), West Bengal Handicrafts Development Corporation in association with Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Association of India (CREDAI) Bengal; will commence from Nov 29 till Dec 1.

Present on the occasion were West Bengal Minister for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Firhad Hakim, Chairman and Managing Director of WBHIDCO Debasish Sen, Chief Executive Officer of KMDA, President of CREDAI Harsh Vardhan Patodia and Former President Santosh Rungta.

The exhibition is scheduled to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The exhibition would be attended by private agencies that are involved in the creation of urban and social infrastructure in Bengal, informed officials.
