Dengue claims ninth victim in city

A 35-year old woman died of dengue at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) last evening.

With this, nine people have died of Dengue during the last three months in GMCH, sources said.

Seema Yadav, resident of Bajaj nagar, was suffereing from fever and weakness and relatives took her to a private hospital for treatment. Her blood sample was sent to a laboratory and it was found positive, Later, she was shifted to the GMCH on October 30 and she died last evening.

Since August, dengue had spread in the city and surrounding areas. During the last three months 81 patients were treated at the GMCH. Of them, nine people died, at present, 11 dengue patients were being treated at GMCH.
