Haryana to achieve 9 per cent growth rate in milk production

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that the state will achieve 9 per cent growth rate in milk production.

This was stated by Mr Hooda on the occasion of inauguration of Dudhmotisagar Dairy in Dharuhera.

The dairy plant was inaugurated by Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar. The function was presided over by Mr Vipul Bhai Chaudhary, Chairman of Gujrat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation and Mehsana Distt. Copperative Milk Porcucers Union.

The processing capacity of the plant, established by Mehsana Distt. Copperative Milk Porcucers Union Limited, will be 30 lakh litre per day.

Mr Hooda urged Dudhmotisagar dairy to procure at least 10 lakh litre of milk daily from the milk producing farmers of the area.

On this occasion, Mr Sharad Pawar said that with the establishment of Dudhmotisagar Dairy Plant at Dharuhera, the milk production in the area would get a boost. He assured that milk would be taken in large quantity from the milk producing farmers of the area.

'Haryana today is progressing in all the fields and credit for this goes to Mr Hooda. The players of Haryana have won medals at Commonwealth Games and London Olympics, which has enhanced the prestige of the country', Mr Pawar added.
