Swedish House Mafia's Mumbai show sold out
International band Swedish House Mafia's upcoming show in the city was sold out within six hours.
The ticket sale for the band's One Last Tour performance began 12 p.m. Monday, and in 60 minutes, the students' section got completely sold out. Total sales of over 10,000 passes were recorded for the show in just six hours of opening ticketing online on bookmyshow.com.
"The response to ticket sales for One Last Tour has been phenomenal! Within three hours of passes going live, almost 85 per cent of them were sold out," Sheikh Junaid, head (Special Operations), Book My Show, said in a statement.
The electronic music dance band, consisting of trio Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, is set to perform in Mumbai Nov 17, and in New Delhi Nov 18.
The passes for the normal and VIP sections for their New Delhi gig can still be purchased.
Event management company Submerge is organising One Last Tour in India.
"As expected, this was going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity. So hurry and book your tickets," said Nikhil Chinappa, director, Submerge.
A lot of celebrities are reportedly calling the organisers for reservations since the Mumbai gig is sold out. Thus, the gig in the capital is expected to see a lot of known faces in attendance.
Swedish House Mafia have recorded houseful in a minimum time frame upon opening the ticketing process in various other places in regard to the One Last Tour -- Brooklyn (15,000 tickets in eight minutes), Chicago (14,000 tickets in five minutes) and Los Angeles (35,000 tickets in 30 minutes).
