Orion Entertainment Monday launched their latest music album 'Amar Baul', a compilation of some modern songs and poetry to pay tribute to the quintessential Baul of Bengal-Rabindranath Tagore.

Amar Baul was released by the Joint Directors of Orion Entertainment Purnendu Roy and Nilakshi Roy

The album has been conceptualised by music director Kalyan Barat, lyrics written by Ramchandra Paul and voices given by music stalwarts like Srikanto Acharya, Jayati Chakraborty, Lopamudra Mitra and Rupankar. Bratati Bandhyopadhyay recited the poems in her immaculate style.

"The music album is all about the tribute, paid to the bauls of Bengal and of course Tagore himself who intensified with the nature of bauls in Bengal and used their musical influences in his creations" said Barat.

Composition of the total 9 tracks was tuned with music keeping in mind the right emotions, sentiments and poetic justification of Rabindranath who would still be considered as the most modern man in case of music, art and culture in Bengal and could be much more experimental if he were alive, said Barat.
