Unveiling a 20-year vision for Indo-German relations, Germany's Ambassador to India Michael Steiner has said that by 2032, India would have won the football world cup and Shah Rukh Khan would feature in a remake of 'Inspector Derek.'

"I am convinced India by then will have won the football world cup, Bollywood dance would have conquered Berlin's hippest dance clubs and Shah Rukh Khan will feature in a remake of Inspector Derek," Mr Streiner said last night at a function organised to celebrate Germany's National Day and German reunification.

By 2032, he said, India and Germany would sit permanently side-by-side in the new reformed UN Security Council and work together in overcoming global challenges.

Also, the two countries would be linked by broadband corridor between India and Europe and travel between India and Germany would be visa-free.

"The young will move with ease between our two countries for education, training, work and leisure," he added.
